Lapis lazuli has been prized for its intense color since ancient times. It has been used on funeral masks of great Pharaohs, crushed to make ultramarine (the most expensive of blue pigments of paint), and carved into magnificent creatures across history.  "Pops" of this color show up amongst natural settings and garden accents of all sorts in this color look splendid wherever they are placed.
